Core Values of a Security Guard

If you're a security guard, you need to have a few basic core values. Security guards are the first line of defense for many businesses, and they can make or break a security guard company's reputation. If the service isn't good enough or the guard does something that makes their customers upset, then word will spread quickly and negatively impact your business. On the other hand, if your staff is professional, kind, and helpful then people will feel welcome in your establishment and choose to come back again!

Security guards need a few basic core values.

Let’s take a look at some of the core values that are expected of a security guard working at a security guard company. These include honesty, integrity, respect, trust, and courage. A good security guard also has patience and justice in their character. What do these values mean? Let’s break them down one by one.

* Honesty: A security guard should always be honest with their clients, coworkers, and supervisors. This includes honesty about what was observed during a shift or other work-related activities. Honesty also means being truthful when providing testimony at court proceedings.

* Integrity: Integrity is the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles. A security guard must be able to demonstrate this throughout all aspects of their job, including when performing assigned tasks or interacting with others on site.

* Respect: Respect is the act of showing consideration and honor for another person. A security guard should always treat others with respect, whether they are a client, coworker, or supervisor.

* Trust: Trust is the belief that someone will do what they say they will do. A security guard must be able to trust their coworkers and supervisors to perform assigned duties correctly and on time.

*Courage: Courage is the ability to do something that frightens you. A security guard must have courage when faced with difficult situations or dangerous individuals. * Patience Patience is the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset. A security guard should be able to remain patient with clients who need additional assistance when performing assigned duties.

Compassion is the ability to care about and understand other people's feelings. It's a crucial component of being a good security guard because you'll be dealing with people who may be worried or intimidated by your presence. You need to be able to understand how they feel, which will allow you to better communicate with them!

To be compassionate, you need first to understand that everyone has different experiences and perspectives on life. Your client may have had bad experiences in their past that made them wary of strangers; some people are nervous around police officers because they've been taught by society that they should fear authority figures; others might just not like men very much and would prefer a female guard instead! This can lead to better physical health in addition to an improved mental state by reducing stress levels caused by poor decision-making skills due to addiction issues like those mentioned above."
